Sustainability and Social Accountability is a key elements of SIA “Fracht” business strategy.

SIA “Fracht” operates with integrity towards its suppliers and treats them equally and professionally. These principles are integrated in SIA “Fracht” Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and are mandatory for all employees of SIA “Fracht”.

SIA “Fracht” is committed to comply with applicable international and local laws and regulations.

This Supplier Code of Conduct defines basic requirements SIA “Fracht” expects from its suppliers to be followed and implemented throughout their business operations.

Business ethics incl.: Anti – corruption, extortion and bribery, Privacy and data protection, Fair competition and anti-trust, Conflicts of interest, Whistleblowing and protection against retaliation, anti-money laundering.

 

We expect our supplier to act with integrity and to conduct their business in an ethical manner. Suppliers are expected not to practice or tolerate any form of corruption, extortion or bribery or money laundering.

We expect our suppliers to comply with valid and applicable competition and antitrust laws. In particular, they will not conclude anti-competitive agreements with competitors, suppliers, customers or other third parties and will not abuse a dominant market position.

Suppliers only maintain business relationships with partners whose integrity they rely on. They should ensure that the relevant legal provisions regarding money laundering are not violated

Suppliers should comply with all valid and applicable laws when importing and exporting goods and services

Compliance with laws and other regulatory requirements. Use of Counterfeit parts. Intellectual property

 

We expect our suppliers to operate in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations weather local or international and to apply Sustainability requirements for own suppliers.

In addition to legal regulations, a supplier has to follow mutually agreed tasks and instructions, given by SIA “Fracht”, for the delivery of their service.

We expect our suppliers don’t use any counterfeit parts in their business practice.

Financial Responsibility and Accurate Records

 

As a supplier to our company, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of financial responsibility and maintain accurate records in all business transactions.

a. Accurate Financial Records: Maintain accurate and transparent financial records that reflect all transactions, invoices, expenses, and receipts related to our business relationship.

b. Timely Reporting: Ensure that financial records are updated and reported in a timely manner to facilitate transparent and error-free financial interactions.

c. Auditing and Verification: Be prepared to provide accurate financial information for auditing and verification purposes, when requested by our company.

d. Ethical Behavior: Conduct all financial activities with integrity, honesty, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Avoid engaging in any fraudulent or unethical financial practices.

Disclosure of Information

 

Transparency in disclosing relevant information is essential for building a sustainable and trustworthy partnership with our company.

a. Timely Information Sharing: Promptly provide our company with accurate and relevant information about your products, services, pricing, quality control measures, and any changes that may impact our business relationship.

b. Risk Disclosure: Inform us of any potential risks, challenges, or disruptions that might affect the supply chain, production, or delivery of goods and services.

c. Environmental and Social Information: Share information about your sustainability practices, environmental impact, labor practices, and any efforts to minimize adverse effects on the environment and society.

d. Intellectual Property Disclosure: Disclose any relevant intellectual property rights that may impact our use of your products or services, including licensing terms or restrictions. We expect our suppliers will respect copyright and intellectual property in any form.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

 

Suppliers must adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to financial responsibility and information disclosure.

a. Legal Compliance: Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to financial reporting, data protection, privacy, and business practices.

b. Transparency in Legal Matters: In case of any legal disputes or regulatory investigations related to your financial activities or information disclosure, promptly inform our company to facilitate appropriate actions and decisions

Employees and Human Rights

 

We expect our suppliers to respect both labour rights and human rights in accordance with applicable international and local regulatory requirements.

Child labour and young workers

We do not tolerate child labour and, if employed, the age and the conditions of employment shall be in accordance with local legal regulations.

Forced labour, human trafficking, Modern slavery (i.e. slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking)

We do not tolerate any form of forced or compulsory labour, including human trafficking.

Anti-discrimination, Women’s rights, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Rights of Minorities and Indigenous People

We expect our suppliers to comply with all relevant anti-discrimination international and local regulations. Harassment or discrimination against employees in any form is not acceptable.

People should be treated equally regardless of their sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation.

Working condition, compensation, Wages and benefits, Working hours

We expect our suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding working hours, compensation, mandatory days off, paid holidays, sick leaves, etc.

We expect that working hours for suppliers’ employees are in accordance with local legal requirements and overtime is compensated accordingly.

We expect our suppliers to pay salaries and other compensations in a timely manner and in accordance with legally binding taxation requirements.

Ethical recruiting

We expect our suppliers during attracting new employees, their competence will be evaluated for the compliance with the required skills and no discriminatory criteria will be applied regarding age, gender, race, faith, disability, religious and political beliefs, national or social origin, sexual orientation, financial or family status.

Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

We encourage our suppliers to open communication with their employees regarding working conditions without intimidation or harassment.

We expect our suppliers to be open to work related discussions and negotiations both individually and with group of employees or their representatives.

In accordance with local laws, suppliers shall respect the rights of their employees to associate freely, join labour unions or similar organizations and to engage in collective bargaining according to applicable legal regulations.

We expect our suppliers to respect the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of association at all levels.

Quality, Health and Safety, Environment

 

We expect our suppliers to establish appropriate Management systems, enabling to address quality, occupational health and safety, as well as environment protection issues, and data protection.

We expect our suppliers to address health and safety issues and provide its employees with safe working environment.

We expect our suppliers to minimize, prevent or control any adverse impact of its operations on the environment incl.: GHG emissions, energy efficiency and renewable energy, Decarbonization, Water quality and consumption, Air quality, Sustainable resources management and waste reduction, Responsible chemical management, reuse and recycling, animal welfare, biodiversity, land use and defestation, soil quality, noise emissions and environmental pollution (e.g. oil)

We expect our suppliers to establish procedure for handling non-conformance in quality, health and safety, as well as environmental issues and data protection, so that immediate corrections are taken, where practically possible.

Suppliers should avoid forced eviction and the deprivation of land, forests and waters in the acquisition, development or other use of land, forests and waters in any form if they come across it during their activities

We expect our suppliers will define and implement similar standards towards own tier-1 suppliers to pass on standards along the supply chain

Use of private or public security forces

 

If the supplier uses private or public security forces to protect its business or employees, the security forces should be given thorough training on their rights so as not to cause human rights violations.

Responsible Sourcing Raw Materials Management

 

We expect suppliers to identify critical raw materials (fuel, oil e.c.t) in their supply chains that have significant environmental or social impacts and to establish traceability mechanisms for critical raw materials, enabling us and our clients to track the origin of materials throughout the supply chain. Suppliers should conduct risk assessments to identify potential environmental, social, and ethical risks associated with the sourcing of specific raw materials. We expect suppliers to enhance their responsible sourcing capabilities through training, resources, and best practice guidance.

Continuous Improvement

 

Suppliers are encouraged to continuously improve their ethical business behaviour, compliance with laws and other regulatory requirements, financial responsibility practices, Human Rights activities, Quality, Health and Safety and Environment activities and information disclosure mechanisms based on Sustainability Initiatives and Feedback and Collaboration in way to engage in open communication with our company to receive feedback and collaborate on ways to enhance continuous improvement.
